GATE Notification 2024: Eligibility
The educational requirements and application fee needed to pay with the application form of GATE 2025 are explained below.
Education Details
The applicants who want to appear in the GATE 2025 examination should have passed the following degrees or they are in the final year of education for these degrees.
- BE / BTech/ BPharm – Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- BArch– Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
- BSC (Research) / BS– Bachelor’s degree in Science
- Pharm D (after 10+2)- 6 years degree program
- MBBS/BDS/BVSC– Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Science / Arts / Commerce
- MSC / MA / MCA – Master’s degree in any branch of Arts / Science / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Applications
- Int. ME/ MTech (Post BSC)– Post BSC Integrated Master’s degree programs in Engineering
- Int. ME / MTech / MPharm or Dual Degree– Integrated Master’s degree program or Dual Degree program in Engineering
- BSC /BA/ BCOM– Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Science / Arts / Commerce
- Int. MSC / Int. BS/MS– Integrated MSC
- Professional Society Courses- equivalent to BE/ BTech / BArch recognized by MoE / UPSC / AICTE
- BSC – (Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry) – 4-years program
Application Fee
The nominees from the SC/ST or PWD category must submit the application charges of Rs 900. The IIT organization has mentioned the application fee of Rs 1800 for unreserved categories like GEN/OBC/ EWS for the GATE 2025 examination form.

- The GATE score is valid for admissions purposes, the top Institutes conduct the admissions for the master’s or doctoral programs through the GATE score.
- The applicants who got admission based on the GATE score will get financial assistance from the govt of India and almost all of the fees of the PG Degree will be paid using the stipend.
